Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 in 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. The couple had separated and she moved with her mom in Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part in the film, Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling financially. In 2002 she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she acted as a principal actor for the first two seasons. She was also awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005.
